Soccer Tournament 2018

Soccer Tournament 2018
This year I have decided to do soccer tournament.
It is on the 28th of June and I am in our school team.
We are playing at Brookside Park in Rolleston.

I have to have some shin pads and long socks.
don’t need soccer boots but I am going to have
some anyway so I don’t slip over all of the time!

We catch the bus at 9.00am and get home at about
2.45pm.  I will play 3, 4 or 5 games.

We have 8 people in our team but only 6 are playing
at a time. Two of us can have a rest.
We have no goalie because we all just have to run to
the goal.

End Result:
We went to the tournament on Thursday. I was pleased
that the weather was warm. Allana choose me to be
the captain of the team! I liked being the captain but
it was challenging at times when I needed to make hard
decisions.

We played 7 games. We won 4 and lost 3.
That meant that we ended up coming 3rd equal in the
tournament which I thought was really good. All of
our team was proud of what we achieved.

Time Squad Update

Time Squad Update with Jayden and Brody

Hello and welcome to the Time Squad Daily update for Friday
the 8th of June at the valley of the Kings with Will, Malachi and Brody.

Today The time squad woke up to terrible news that there is
graffiti on the work van. This will cause them a delay in getting back to work.

The police have been investigating and I have the local officer in
the studio here with me along with the Time Team leader.

Officer: We have discovered that it was a group of local lads who
perpetrated the crime. They had been hearing rumours in the market
that people were stealing the tomb treasures. They are happy to come
and clean the vans if you promise to share your discoveries with the locals.

Leader of Time Squad: Sure thing, we can do that. We can share
things here on the Daily Update and send articles to the newspapers.
When we have finished, there will be a grand opening where all the
locals can come through the tomb to see it’s treasures.

Reporter: So you heard it here folks. You are all invited to see the tomb
for yourselves once all the work is done.
Listen in every day at this time to hear the daily updates on our
archeologists in the time squad are doing.
See you next time and thank you for listening- From The Time Squad and
daily updates team.

News Report

News Report
On the 15 of June students from Springston school were frustrated and
angry that they had to do homework. So they had a vote if they
should have homework or No homework.

At the end the winner was…
No homework. So the principal had a think and then on the
27 of June the principle decided to have..
no homework and all of the students went wild.

Master Chef Challenge

For my home learning Master Chef challenge I have decided to make chocolate mousse.
I have got some photos for my proof. It is best to only have Chocolate Mousse 1 to 2 times a week.

Mum’s Comment: Jayden was able to read the instructions on the packet and decide on
the ingredients he needed and what bowls, measuring equipment, beaters etc. he needed.
A simple dessert that doesn’t take long to make and is very yummy. Thank you Jayden.
